2 year anniversary

Today is mine & Aaron’s 2 year wedding anniversary.

To celebrate, my in-laws treated us to a much needed little getaway. They booked us a suite for the night at a hotel 2 hours away in Huntsville, Alabama. They surprised us yesterday morning so we packed up as quickly as we could and headed out.

When we got the hotel, Aaron grabbed the pillows and I grabbed a couple bags which made it all one trip.

After getting settled, we changed our clothes and headed out the door for dinner.

We went to the top rated Steak & Seafood restaurant in Huntsville. It was really good! I got a steak (cooked medium-well, which is darker than I like but red meat doesn’t mix well with the baby so I got it cooked more). But it also came with Mac N’ Cheese which was DELICIOUS!

Aaron got a sandwich which he said was really good.

Because it was our anniversary, the waiter gave us a strawberry shortcake on the house.

We had a great time and left with our bellies full!

Pretty much as soon as we got to the hotel, we passed out. Talk about lame… haha. But we enjoyed our long-overdue full night of rest.

Today is our actual anniversary, and it was so nice to enjoy a morning at our own pace. We definitely took our time and milked our stay at the hotel until we absolutely HAD to check out.

Next on the agenda was a Safari. Huntsville has a small Safari where you pay and then drive your own car around a gravel road and have the animals come up. Here are some of the photos we took during our drive ::
